The Trio

Founded in 2021 by three friends who met in Mozart's Salzburg. Within a year of its formation, the Trio Callas was awarded at the FNAPEC International Competition in Paris and the Bacewicz Inaternational Competition in Lódz.

Consisting of members from Portugal, Japan-Brazil, and France, the group is known for the uniqueness of its expression, born from the meeting of different cultural backgrounds.
The ensemble is regularly invited to perform its original programmes throughout Europe and on tours to other continents.
Since its first overseas appearance in Japan, the trio has been engaged for concerts in Canada, the USA, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Currently under the guidance of Cibrán Sierra Vázquez (Cuarteto Quiroga) at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and supported by the "Yehudi Menuhin - Live Music Now" Foundation, the group has worked with the Cuarteto Casals, Trio di Parma, Vienna Piano Trio, Benjamin Schmid, Connie Shih, Giovanni Gnocchi, and Thomas Riebl. They have also been mentored by Mischa Maisky, thanks to the sponsorship of the Stauffer Foundation.

In addition to performing the traditional repertoire, the members challenge the boundaries of genre by collaborating with artists from outside classical music whom they enjoy listening to.
